WHAT???

I realize the man doesn't go off script because his handlers will get the taser out if he does, but Americans - let me say that again - Americans - are being held hostage by Somalian pirates.  And the man doesn't have a comment?

The Navy needs to be given the go ahead to take defensive action here.  Why?  Because offensive action was already taken.  You think if American pirates took some Iranian merchants hostage off the cost that Iran wouldn't consider that an act of war?  Come on now. The American pirates would be shark food already.

I am not impressed.  North Korea tested a long range missile, no action from us.  Just a finger wagging from the President.  ("Bad Kim Jong Il, bad!  You've broken UN rules!  Don't do that again!")  Today, Iran has installed 7,000 centerfuges.  Oh, and by the way, the UN has told him to stop that too.  But he hasn't.  He's just kept right along.  Today, no comment on American hostages.  I have no hope for our security.

Under President Obama, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will have a nuclear bomb.  And under President Obama, he will slowly disarm us, and we will be defenseless.  Iran has said (and told it's people) it only needs two bombs.  One for Israel, and one for the United States.  These people are not kidding.  They are not playing around.  They do not want money from us (like North Korea) they do not need our aid.  They want us destroyed for no reason other than they hate our way of life.

And this whole not commenting on the Americans that are being held hostage ... it's just awful.  I know another President whom a lot of people thought was stupid who would have at least said this - without help from an aid:

"The Americans on board are in our prayers and we will do everything in our power to bring them home safely."

You would think the President of compassion and hope and change would at least be able to muster that.  But he'll wait two days for his people to write him something, and then he'll say it.

Well, as he has already stated at his press conference ... he likes to know about something before he makes a comment.
Also, any thoughts on the DOD budget changes (F22 being stopped and the like)? I figure you do...

It's not surprising. It's expected. The F22 is an expensive investment and this administration only likes investing in flowers and bunnies and puppy dogs. Things that actually keep us safe are taken off the table.

Also - no mention of the million or so people that have JOBS through the creation of the F22. Those jobs are all gone now.

Thanks Mr. President / Congress!

A million or so is a bit of an exageration you sound a little like Lockheed. What we really need are new helecopters and tankers. The ones we have now are really old old old. I don't think the administration has taken them off the table but they will most likely stall them until there are no tankers left.
