Happenings

We've been busy! April 3rd we went to Wisconsin to surprise Lew's mom on her birthday. Last Friday I was a holiday and I got up and went down to the Dallas Arboretum for one of the last days of the Dallas Blooms events. That same day, Debra drove up from Houston with 3 of her kids and Pedro (nice Brazilian foreign exchange student!) and stayed with us for the weekend!

We colored Easter eggs, did some coloring, took them down to the West end of Dallas to see the steer statues and the "grassy knoll." I also made chicken parmesan for dinner. A Tyler Florence recipe that I tested on my guests. Brave of me, I know, but really how hard is chicken parmesan? I felt pretty confident I couldn't screw it up. But it actually turned out pretty good, and my guinea pigs didn't seem to mind!
