What's $410B More?
You may not have seen this because since it's not almost a trillion dollars it doesn't garner the same attention as some of it's fatter brothers and sisters, but the House passed the omnibus spending bill. So while they were passing $700B in September, and $800B last month, they neglected their one, teeny, tiny duty. You know ... the BUDGET.
So now they've wrapped that up by rolling 9 appropriations bills into one Omnibus package. Costing $410B. That gets the country through September. Does that not make anyone else just sigh with disgust? It makes me sigh with disgust.
And in a time when companies are cutting back, people are losing jobs, taking pay cuts, spending less and saving more, our illustrious leaders do this:
I dislike them. I dislike them all. A lot.
Granted this is just the house. So a lot could change. Like ... well I suppose if the House gets a 10% increase the Senate should too! And heck, while we're add it let's pork it up with pet crap.
It'll be $700B yet.
Oh ... side note on something I heard on the radio about the Iraq withdrawal announcement slated for the end of this week. So he's going to pull back troops, leaving 50,000 soldiers there to help with training and what not.
So what he will do see, is make less soldiers do the same amount of work. People will still tour there, just like under Clinton. They will still get shot at, but because a Democrat is President there won't be a "war" and it'll all go away, magically. Like the money we pay in taxes.

Other initiatives slated for increases include Pell college tuition grants, the National Institutes of Health and aid for low-income housing programs. The budget for the House of Representatives itself would increase by 10 percent while funding for Senate operations would grow by 8 percent.
