I don't really have anything intelligent to put on here today. I'm too wrapped up in what's happening in my own world to comment on the disaster that is the $825B "stimulus" package (and I'm sick of the word "touts" what does that even mean??), and I think that the pilot of US Airways Flight 1549 is a hero. I hope he gets a medal, and 153 thank you notes. It could have been so much worse. But it wasn't, because that man was a smart, cunning, attentive pilot. We all know I have a soft spot for pilots. He flew in the Air Force too, by the way. And he's 57. So when they start to tell you about how older pilots need to be retired ... tell them to shut the heck up and you want to fly with those that know what they are doing. People like Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger, III, who's name we need to repeat. He's not getting enough credit from the likes of the press (Wall Street Journal, I'm talking to you).
