God is in vogue again

Anyone else notice how yesterday and today, the presence of God was abundant and plentiful and well ... mainstream?  I just remember Bush being lambasted for his faith as an evangelical and for saying things like God grants freedom to all peoples and then yesterday, I mean Obama mentioned the presence of God in America several times, and how we were chosen, etc.  And this morning he went to a Disciples of Christ church for prayers for his cabinet / administration.

And it was reported ... like it was a good thing!

And then Spike Lee intimates that God crashed the markets so Obama would win.  Divine intervention brings us the President of his dreams.

I can't really complain, because I've always felt that things happen for a reason based on a plan that I'm not smart enough to understand.  I just think it's funny that the same people that critized Bush for his beliefs now label Obama as thoughtful and respectful and reverant and practically divine in his beliefs.  It's all good in the end, and Glory to God is wonderful.  I just think it's funny.
