Global Warming - du'oh - Climate Change!
CNN reported last night on Lou Dobbs that there is an ice age coming [Newsbusters].
WCCO out of Minneapolis wonders:
On a day where temperatures were close to 20 below zero in Minnesota, it's hard to avoid a report arguing that the world is about to enter an ice age. But how soon could that happen?
The Arizona Republic (one of the places not currently below freezing at the moment) argues that the information that waters rose in 2008 compared to 2007 are misleading, and that yes, Global Warming is still occuring.
Meanwhile, despite reporters from credible scientists, the BBC is still reporting "World Needs Radical Cuts on CO2." Notice the article has no basis in fact, just oh we need to cut CO2 by 2050 ... or else.
I am all about being good stewards of the earth. I think recyclying is important and new technologies to limit packaging and waste and all of that are excellent things. But I see no difference in the scare tactics used by agencies, groups and activists in this arena than the fear mongering that the Bush Administration and conservatives are accused of doing in regards to terrorism.
Except one major difference ... as regards terrorism there is proof that people will die.
