Consequences = No Children
Well perhaps we shouldn't worry about the financial burden we are putting on our kids, because Rep. Pelosi is advocating that we don't have any.
And I know the line ... "she's only saying that people who don't want kids should have access to contraception so they can avoid having kids." Yes, and then in the next line she says these are the consequences of the economic downturn.
And I can practically see her brain working in the first part of the interview ... stay on message, keep saying urgent, words that means we have to do this fast!
And it's almost like, when he says "so no apologies" that she doesn't even know what she should be sorry for.
And taking the whole philisophical kid issue out of it ... contraceptives aren't a stimulus. There funding won't create one additional job. And I can't support anything that's 400 pages long that so many senators haven't read.
It's not a stimulus package. It's a spending bill.
