Barack Obama picks a fight with Rush Limbaugh.
In the same meeting he said that Republicans should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. Which is great an all, except that Rush Limbaugh is a constituent of this country whom a lot of people happen to agree with (especially on the bail out). And Congress really shouldn't stop listening to their constituents.
Limbaugh responded that Obama and the Dems are trying to make the argument about him and not about the bailout itself.
And let me just say, $825B that includes $100M for contraceptives is not a stimulus package, it's a spending bill. So just because they've found a new buzz word ... don't let them sell you on it.

... bombing Pakistan and the world says NOTHING. Versus during the campaign when bombings were taking place Obama said that the military was cruelly killing civilians with those same bombs. And 9/11 families are outraged that some of the architects of those attacks are on the dock to be freed ...
The president responded with a clear signal that he is prepared to ram the bill through without the bipartisan consensus he promised to construct, telling Republican leaders from the House of Representatives: "I won. I'm the president."

They also will most likely pass the fairness doctrine--do you think they will apply it to MSNBC or the other three networks. Thank goodness for the internet, but they will most likely try to control information there as well.
