My grandmother has sent me The Upper Room for quite a while now. I decided to check out their website today and saw this devotional: Sharing the Light.
I have some prayer requests. Please pray for my friend who is struggling with cancer and job loss and just loss all around. It's been a horrific year for her. A year in which she's been strong, but it's been a hard year. She needs some comfort.
Please pray for a family that I don't even know ... they were to have a baby delivered last Wednesday, but God took the baby to heaven the day before. It breaks my heart, and I just think they could use prayers, even if they are from strangers.
And pray for my family please. For safe journeys, safe procedures, fast recoveries, and health.

Paul wrote, "I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you." 2 Timothy 1:5I was already committed and convinced my decision was the right one, but this just kind of puts it all right there in front of me. How many times is the word "grandmother" even in the Bible?* The fact that she is the one that lead me to this page just sort of mystifies me at how the puzzle always comes together.
