Blago Press Conference on Burris Appointment

I have to say ... there are shades of crazy and these guys are both at least a 100 different shades.  Blago introduced Burris and look like he expected applause.  And then, when Burris took questions, he looked shocked they were asking him about Reid's refusal to seat an appointment made by Blago and Blago's invovlement in trying to sell the seat.  Then Blago got back up there, started talking, and then his handlers started telling him to shut up and he got back on message.  Which is "The state of Illinois deserves both of it's Senators and it's up to the Governor to appoint them."

Yes, Governor, they deserve both of their Senators.  And a Governor who's not as crooked as a road through the Rockies.

Oh land ... the Congressman [Bobby Rush] that walked up like he was the athority on all things appointed just said that the race of the appointed Senator has tremendous national importance and that he "prayed" the appointee would be black.

So. Reid. You not gonna seat this guy now?  And Pres Elect Obama?  What are you gonna say?  You called for the Governor to step down.  Doesn't look like that's going to happen.  What are you gonna say about this appointment?

Blagojevich has something on somebody that's keeping him pretty warm at night.  It could just be a narcisstic ego the size of Texas and a death wish.  Or it could be something else.  Just my tin foil hat talking.
