Things to look forward to
A Democrat, Super Majority. And I saw this with all my sarcasm on, by the way. A super majority of anything, right or left, is bad, bad, bad, bad. Checks and balances exist so we have checks and balances. If we have a nation run by Reid-Pelosi-Obama unchecked ... I shudder to consider it. As the WSJ says in the link above, we will almost certainly have universal health care pass. And I just think that's one of the single worst things we could do as a nation.
The Fairness Doctrine. Which would effectively shut-up Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, Neal Boortz, Dennis Praeger, Laura Ingraham, Michael Medved, Michael Gallagher, Dan Patrick, etc. etc. etc.
Yeah for freedom of speech! Yeah for open ideas free from persecution! Oh wait ... only if they are liberal? Oh no, I guess that won't apply to me.
6 months from now, "an international crisis." Biden isn't the first person to say this, but I do think he's hedging his bets. Remember how much you love us now, he says, because in 6 months when the stuff hits the fan, you may not love us that much and you'll need to remember how much you love us now.
Presidents get tested. Limbaugh went through this on his show this afternoon. Presidents get tested. 93 - Clinton (first WTC bombing), 01 - Bush. What will 09 hold? I don't know, but Biden, foreign policy expert Biden (hey that's what the Obama campaigns been saying!), says in 6 months Obama will be tested.
Why do we even bother voting? I mean really. The press can tell you just by the poll numbers who the winner is. I mean hell, Obama's picking out the china for the cabinet. And Pelosi can tell you 100% that Obama is going to win. He's going to change the world!

Second, a new Fairness Doctrine would drive political talk radio off the dial. If a station ran a big-audience conservative program like, say, Laura Ingraham's, it would also have to run a left-leaning alternative. But liberals don't do well on talk radio, as the failure of Air America and indeed all other liberal efforts in the medium to date show. Stations would likely trim back conservative shows so as to avoid airing unsuccessful liberal ones.
