Here's the thing.  Texas Tech is playing in the biggest game this Saturday.  And I'm nervous.  I'm worse than nervous.  My stomach is tied up in knots.  I can not handle this level of pressure.  I want the game here, I want it played, I want it over.

And I want Tech to cream Texas!  I know, it's not very nice, but it would be oh so great if Texas Tech could win.

Now, I fully understand that we might lose.  Oh I know it.  I know I might be in the stands dejected and humiliated and wondering when Game Day will ever come back to town.  But I've been reading all the pundits, searching for all the information, digging up stats (they are pretty even, actually) and just trying to get as much knowledge in my head as possible.  Because when faced with scary prospects (losing) one has to have as much information as possible.  It helps soothe the nerves.

I think it will be okay.  If I can make it through this week without my IT guy coming by and yelling at me about how much time I spent searching "Texas Tech" on google, it will be a miracle.

Side Note: what on earth am I going to blog about after this election is over?  I'm actually kind of excited by the prospect of note writing about the election any more.  And, I'm even more excited to have positive press stories to comment on.  As I'm sure they will be tickled pink when and if Senator Obama is elected.

I am excited that we are on the precipice of electing the first black president.  I just wish that I was able to get behind his political leanings (can't).  Just like had it been Hillary nearing the Presidency, I would wish she was from my side of the fence.

Oh well.  But really ... what will I talk about when this is all over?  I guess I've always just blogged about current events.  I can't believe how long I have been doing this now.  Time truly does fly.
