The $150K Wardrobe
They were talking about this on talk radio on my lunch break. Dennis Prager says it's not big deal.
I disagree. We lambasted John Edwards as an elitist cad for his $400 hair cut, and then the RNC goes and gives Governor Palin and her family a $150K wardrobe for 2 months worth of work?
Now, I know she looks nice. The suits are sharp. But $150K? Really? If she needed new outfits for her new job, she should have been required to get them herself. Do candidates get salaries from their campaigns? If they do, then she should have negotiated a clothing allowance.
The RNC messed up here. She didn't need Saks 5th Ave clothes. She could have achieved a similar look for far less. It's just more East coast snobbery and spending. And I am positive that none of the outfiting was Sarah's idea.
