Rantings
In seeing the stark contrast between how Obama and Biden have been treated by the press, even some of the press corps are saying something. Even if they do so begrudgingly.
And what I mean by the double standard is ... don't you think the expense reports from Joe Biden from his 36 years in the Senate would be an interesting read? Much more interesting than the 2 odd years Palin's been Governor? Are we hearing about those? Uh, no. Biden would hire more lawyers than I have toes to keep that from happening.
And let's keep it real timely. What about Lehman Bros, Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac, and Obama and Biden? You know Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ... they are the lenders that the feds seized earlier this month. What is interesting about them, is how they gave money to lawmakers in an effort to stave off federal regulation of their loaning practices. Do you know who received a majority of their contributions? Chris Dodd, D-CT. Do you know who is second on that list? Barack Obama. From 2004 until 2008, he collected $126,439 from Fannie Mae. I wonder if while he's chiding the Republicans for not doing more to stop the crisis, he's thinking of returning all that money? [McCain is #62 on the list, collecting $21,550. Hillary #12, $76,050]
And let's not leave out Lehman brothers. He's received over $1.5M from the 3 execs over there. McCain recieved $500K from Merrill Lynch.
Slate Magazine even knows that Washington and the Beltway Blabbermouths are to blame 100% for the disastrous failings of Mae and Mac. And if reporting can be believed, so did WSJ, WaPo, NYT (circa 1997), among others I'm sure. And remember those bad countrywide loans, or excuse me, those great loans for politicians? Yeah it's all related. Lawmakers (57% democrats) received money from Fannie Mae, so they would look the other way. And look the other way they did ... and now the taxpayers will pay for it. Slate goes through the list of Democrat top brass that worked for or profited from Fannie Mae.
And Obama has the audacity to blame this crisis on Republicans? I think not sir. You're just lucky most Americans are too stupid to look where you're contributions have come from. And that they don't know the name of Joe Biden's oldest son and brother. Who are currently facing indictment for bad hedge fund deals and cronyism that earned 38 year old Hunter Biden a staggering $1.2M a year in an industry he has absolutely no experience in.
He's also lucky that there isn't a lot of press on the fact that he sought millions of dollars in earmarks for the firms that Hunter Biden lobbied for.
The line I keep reading is that Hunter Biden never lobbied his father for money. Yes well, I'm sure he didn't have to.
Going back to the crisis, Pelosi says don't blame the Dems. She goes on to say she blames Bush for his mismanagement of the economy. I hate idiots. And she is a talking idiot.
No, you know what I've had it with? Legislatures who take my money, take over bad lenders with my money, and then blame it all on someone else. That's what I've had it with. And the greed of the financial institutions was sanctioned by this dilapidated, corrupt, vile congress.
I'm investigated out. I'm not an economist. But I think I'm happy the fed didn't lower the rates today, even if it means the market fell another 450 points. We have to hit the bottom of this thing, so that we can start to come back up.

“I think the American people have had it with this situation where the middle-income people in our country are not protected from the ramifications of the risk-taking and the greed of these financial institutions,” Pelosi told MSNBC.
