Happy Thoughts
In my house I have three picture frames. One is red, one is white, and one is blue.
In the red frame, I have the family picture from Dad's first pinning on. This family consisted of the 5 of us. The original gang. My now husband was there, but he wasn't "allowed" in the picture because he wasn't "technically" family yet. We weren't even engaged yet (it was February 2004).
In the blue frame, I have the family picture from Dad's second pinning on. This family consisted of the 6 of us. Husband and I had just celebrated our 2nd anniversary. My sister's then boyfriend (now fiancee) wasn't "allowed" in the picture because he wasn't "technically" family yet.
The white frame is reserved for Dad's third pinning on. And in it will be the 7 of us. And maybe, my brother will have a girlfriend in the crowd, who won't be "allowed" in the picture because she won't "technically" be family yet.
I love how families grow through acquisition.
