Kerry was too easy on them, so Obama's going the other way
So now Obama's general counsel Bob Bauer is asking the Justice Department to prosecute and investigate the American Issues project and specifically, the donor who supplied the money for the ad, Dallas billionaire Harold Simmons. (Sadly, living in Dallas, this is the first I've heard of the man).
What exactly is he trying to accomplish? At least in the blogosphere, the campaign's screaming to get the ads off the air and someone (anyone) punished for their existence, is just driving more people to the ads in the first place.
Oh, and the University of Illinois in Chicago reversed it's decision blocking public access to the public documents about public money and public schools. But the link above raises some interesting questions. Are all the documents there? Why were they blocked in the first place? Who ordered them blocked?
And why are we all Stalin-like about this Bill Ayers thing? If it's so explainable ... just explain already.
