Obama's Mortgage
It's America people. If he got a good deal on his mortgage so much the better. I don't care. Michelle is up in arms and thinks he's a hypocrite. The Washington Post are the ones that wrote the story.
They seem to think that since an ethics committee is meeting over Dodd and Conrad's CountryWide Loans, Obama's should be facing scrutiny too. Maybe ... but Dodd and Conrad's loans were received under a VIP program that offered special perks to Senators. Obama didn't get his discount because he was a Senator. He got it because he's filthy stinking rich, and the bank was making a down payment on what they hoped would be future dealings.
The article further intimates that Obama received special treatment when compared to other "super super jumbo loans" but then later in the article admits that because the size of the loan was so large, there are not really any comparables. Most people pay cash for houses that cost this much. So there really is no way of knowing how good of a "deal" Obama got.
I have no issue with this .... issue.
What I have always had issue with - is the Obama's, both Michelle and Barack, using class warfare and attacking big businesses and talking about how they can't afford piano lessons and rising costs of college when they clearly and ever so obviously, have no idea what they are talking about.
I also take issue with Michelle Obama thinking all Texans are provincial morons who think gay marriage is the end all be all of political issues. Personally, I know a division tactic when I see one, and that's all that is.
I take issue with Obama's housing developments in Chicago that were subsidised with government funds that are now not livable.
I take issue with Gen. Wesley Clark attacking John McCain's service record as not evidence of leadership, and implying by converse that Obama's minimal years in the Senate and his lean voting record are evidence of an executive caliber resume. If John McCain isn't qualified to be President - than niether is Barack Obama. They aren't going to win attacking McCain's credentials.
I take issue with a lot of things. Like communist musicians and former U.S. terrorists and the countless gaffes that the presumptive nominee has made ... but I do not care about his mortgage.
