Of Wedding Bells and Dad's

We went to Houston again this past weekend for the wedding of a family friend. Really, they are more like family as we see them often at family functions and holidays. Matt is Lewis's brother. Matt is married to Danyelle. Danyelle's sister is Kendra.

It was Kendra who got married. To a Mr. Chad.

I usually just skip all the above and just say my sister-in-law got married. It's easier.

The only thing with going to Houston so often, is that you start to feel like a commuter to your own life. But we really enjoy spending time with everyone and the wedding was lovely, as you'll see at all the pictures I took HERE, and I think it's very important to be around for Father's Day's and birthday's and wedding's and as many of these things as you can.

It was a very emotional ceremony, with a very poignant moment with Chad's little girl, and a great father-daughter dance.

You'll notice the ceremony was outside and lovely, in the prayer garden at Matt's church. Matt did the officiating (I think every family should have a minister - it makes these things so much more entertaining. At one point, Matt said "I've known Kendra for a long time and I've seen all the men she's dated." FUNNY.) and Kendra did not mess up her vows. Like someone ELSE I know.

Point of interest - I watched the video of our ceremony again last night, trying to prove that Matt spoke too fast and that's why I messed up.

I think it wasn't so much the speed as it was the word: covenant. It threw me. That and actually having to use my brain instead of just floating along in the moment proved to be difficult.

Anywho - weddings are great fun. Father's Day was also on Sunday. Happy Father's Day! Pictures of that HERE.
