I'm not the only one feeling blue.
According to the Washington Post, a lot of people are.
It's odd too, I was just starting to write a blog about my depression when I realized that writing about my depression and immortalizing it here, and wallowing in it for the 10 minutes it takes me to blog it, probably isn't a productive treatment. I should move on, think of something else ...
Then I saw the article linked above.
It's not like I don't know American's are unhappy. I don't think that's news to anyone. But that unhappiness is breeding exponentially, and it just makes me sick. Even Meryl, whom is normally a very happy person, today talks about what would happen if our society were to crumble.
I do not want to witness the crumbling of my society, or any other.
There is no one out there, not one voice, that is saying -- "We will get through this. We are strong." No one wants to say we are strong, because that is percieved as pride, and pride is apparently not a virtue you can have in the United States. We started a war, the international public hates the President ... how can you be proud of your nation? How can you say your nation is strong?
I find it odd that we are talking about hope and change and still ... no one is hopeful. No one believes things can change.
