Sad Day? Or Happy Day? You Decide

The Legal Aid team out of San Antonio that is defending the YFZ ranch mother's who's children have been taken into custody won a battle in this on going war today.
The Third Court of Appeals has ruled that Child Protective Services did not have
the right to remove children from the Yearning for Zion ranch last
month.

I believe that CPS messed up. They looked like baby stealers and their PR on this was worse than horrible.

But I also believe that young girls there are married off at the onset of puberty, and that they are baby factories for men who believe the level of heaven they reach is determined by the size of their family and their progeny.

There are those that say this is their religion and therefore their right. What I see is a portion of women who have been left behind and who are traded like baseball cards to men who suck-up to the leading man. And children who are never given an opportunity to learn, who are kept separate from society, and who are also traded like baseball cards ... to men with 3, 4, 5, 6 wives, somd of those wives old enough to be their grandmothers.

There were 400 children taken into custody. And 48 mothers. That's a little over 8 children per mother. Not counting the teenage girls taken with babies of their own in custody.

I'm just sad. These are the forgotten. And they want to be forgotten, for the most part I guess. It's like a disease. Anorexia or alcoholism. You don't even know you're hurting yourself. You just know that the synapses in your brain tell you over and over again. If you eat you're ugly. Eating is ugly. Drink and you'll feel better. Then someone tells you, shows you, the way your collar bones stick out isn't normal. Or the way your spine shows through a dress. Or the way you order a beer at lunch and everyone else orders water.

But no one is showing these folks ...

It's not a perfect analogy. I'm just depressed by this whole thing.
