Pelosi: Iran has goodwill, American soldiers are failures

Nancy Pelosi said yesterday in an interview with SFGate that the only reason the surge worked was because of the "goodwill" of Iran. Nothing to do with our soldiers and their hard work, or the hard work of Iraqis. All because of the goodwill of Iran.

She says: "And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians - they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, they negotiated that cessation of hostilities - the Iranians."

Allahpundit at HotAir posted something. Read the whole thing, especially the report from Brig. General McMasters of the Army.
The only thing she has done is openly admit what the general's have been saying all along, that we aren't really fighting Iraqi's, we're fighting Iran. Because, well if talking to the mullah's resulted in a cease fire in Basra, doesn't that mean that the mullah's are the ones ordering the firing? And we didn't get them to come to a ceasefire because they felt all warm and fuzzy towards us, it's because we kicked their ass.
It wasn't a result of goodwill. It was a result of the strategic workings of our military, and the bravery of the men and women who stand up against these idiots. It was a result of the SURGE. And that includes the hard work of the Iraqi Army, who deserve a hell of a lot more credit than stupid Pelosi gives them.
