This and That

We went to Houston April 4th (so two weeks ago?) for my mom-in-laws' and bro-in-laws birthday's. The weather was beautiful and the kids are growing like weeds. For more pictures of our time there, click HERE.

There are also pictures in there of us and Drew and Katie golfing at Lake Whitney.

So today, like all gluttons for punishment, I planted more flowers in my flower bed, hoping that perhaps this time, having found plants that do better in the shade, that maybe they'll live. If you're a betting person, and like a risk, I'd say they'll live.

However Lewis sees these constant plant buying expeditions as charity to the nurseries. Because truly the flowers don't stand a chance.

But hey ... millionth times a charm, right?

I got even braver this time. We bought two rose bushes and planted those in the backyard. I hope they continue to bloom! Isn't this a good picture of Mavvy! And you have to love Hannah the Who up there. Too cute. The other picture I took at Lake Whitney. Texas wildflowers. A week from today at this very moment I will be landing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I will sit poolside, drink Mai Tais (not really, I'll drink wine or margaritta's more than likely!) and read and read and read. And when I get hot ... I'll go in the pool. And then I'll read and read and read.

The vacation can't get here soon enough!
