Stupid Article, Stupid Person
So I'm not at an airport, and I'm not really being affected much by the American Airlines cancellations. Other than I've been on hold with American for well over an hour if you count both today and yesterday (I'm on hold right now).
But this story out of San Jose just tweaks my nose and makes me think all people are selfish jerks. A gentleman flying out of San Jose on Friday wants to speak with someone at American about whether or not his plane will take off tomorrow as scheduled.
Well I'm sorry buddy, but they don't know yet. And the people that do know, well you wouldn't get to talk to them anyway.
He's "a little angry that no one can answer this over the phone." Well dude it's like asking if you're going to get in a car accident before it happens. The sales reps on the phone don't know what the higher ups are going to do! And the people at the airport (the schmuck drove to the airport to get answers from a real person) are in the same exact boat. They can't say "yes, they will all be cancelled!" It would cause a riot.
But I guess they have to write about something.
