Lunch Time Review

Can you stop a money train wreck?
The article actually advises how to say no to helping your parents who may not have saved enough for retirement. Here you go Mom and Dad, thanks for raising me, but yeah I can't help you. I only read MSN to shake my head at their silliness sometimes.

Why you might never own a home
The subtext here is ... in San Francisco! And the whole story runs counterintuitive to what's actually taking place in the market. Home prices are down because inventory is up. If people can't afford to buy a home, they probably haven't saved enough for the downpayment, or their credit is bad. Neither of those are representative of the economy. What's worse about this? The story is dated January 18th, but it's linked on the main page. Sloppy.

Vets For Freedom National Heroes Tour Banned From High School
I saw this on Drudge, (as I'm sure Hugh Hewitt did too) but I thought I'd post it here. The sentiment is that our military has no place in our public schools. Tragic.

Watch this Video. Freedom Never Cries.

What would you do? Pay for your kids college? Or your parents retirement? I think that is a tough one. Don't know about you, but we aren't even planning on social security to be there to support us, let alone any offspring to pitch in. I can't imagine trying to assist Mom and Dad (not that I am going to have to).

Your children can always take out loans, work through school, or apply for scholarships. Your parents can not do such a thing to live.

It is the duty of the young to take care of the elderly.
