Duke Lacrosse Players Suing University, Town for Damages
And I hope they get every dime. Sadly, nothing, not one cent, will earn back the years of their life that were lost to this witch hunt that ended in nothing. No crime was committed. Nothing. The supposed "victim" was a liar. The DA resigned. Disbarred.
None of that earns them back their reputations. For the rest of their lives they will be the Duke boys that were accussed of rape.
Things like that don't go away because one man quits. The NYT never apologized. Neither did CNN, Fox, NBC ... etc. None of them counted themselves duplicitious in the case. Even though they had those men tried, convicted, and slandered in the court of public opinion.
Jesse Jeckson has never once apologized. He offered to pay for the "victims" education. Wonder if that offer is still good.
Nothing has happened to her. No charge of lying to a police officer, no charge of poor use of tax payer money ... even the runaway bride was charged with that.
This, and many other anecdotal reasons are why I am going to become an advocate for men. Being a father in this country is given the same respect as a babysitter. "Victims" are 100% believed and men are slandered, ruined, and crushed under a justice system that was meant to protect.
No apology and no amount of money is going to take back what this woman did to these boys. There's no justice here, because the justice system won't go after the woman that wronged them. Even now, with her lies exposed ... she is still the "victim."
