Shopping in the 21st Century
I love it. Amazon.com is the single best invention in recent years. For the past hour, I sat here on my laptop, perusing it for gifts I would like to buy for my neices and nephews and my in-laws. My only concern was the shipping ... but no worries. Would you like to ship to multiple addresses? Why yes I would Amazon, thank you for asking.
I am officially done with the majority of my Christmas shopping. I bought for my Dad, my mom, my sister, my brother, my neices and nephews, my sisters-in-law, my brother-in-law. All of them ... I purchasedd presents for 15 people, all from my comfy couch while Lewis played a video game.
Naturally, there are draw backs. They are shipping to the recipients addresses, so Debra, Danyelle ... DO NOT OPEN THOSE AMAZON boxes! :) And if you could throw them in a gift bag and put them under the tree ... that would be swell.
All in all, a much more pleasant experience than traversing the mall, looking for a parking spot, fighting crowds, and not keeping a handle on spending. This way, I was able to keep a running tally of what was spent, and I know exactly much was spent. To the penny. There was just one reciept. Awesome.
I still have folks to buy for (my mother and father-in-law, husband) but the ones that I worried about are over with. Whew! What a relief.
Thanks Amazon! And, what joy is mine ... it's December 2nd and I'm done. No worries about shipping. No worries at all. Sigh.
