Meg's Graduates ... we visit the Hunt's!
Day 4 of our trip to Ohio and the house is quiet. For the first time in 4 days. Friday night Lewis and I arrived in Colubmus about 12:30. Because it wouldn't be Holiday travel if our plane wasn't delayed. My poor parents, who had been in an airplane themselves since the day before, drove to pick us up and took us home. We got home about 2:00 AM. YUCK!
Graduation was what you would expect. A mass of people no one knows looking for the one person they do know. We found her, we watched her graduate, good times were had by all. After that, Megan had arranged for us to have lunch with Ron's (the boyfriend) side of the family. We went to some French bistro that had a private room for us. Yum! More pictures of graduation HERE.
Monday, Lewis and I got in the car and drove the short 3 hours to Morgantown, Indiana, to visit our in-laws, Jonathon and Jennifer Hunt and their children. I know you've heard me say that I have 14 nieces and nephews ... well I hadn't even met most of them until yesterday! We didn't stay long (we'll stay longer next time) but we had lunch and visited and took pictures of the kiddos. They are amazing children and we are very glad we went. More pictures HERE. Pictured at left (from top) Stephanie, Alexandra, Reagan, Lauren, Christian, Lewis, Kirsten, Arianna, Me, and Ethan. I took more, but I haven't had time to download them all yet.
The next morning we jumped up at 8:00 and got ready for Megan's graduation. Okay I jumped, because I had to take a shower, Lewis slept somemore and got up about 8:45.
Saturday passed ... can't remember what else we did. Hung out mostly.
Sunday passed ... went and saw Beowolf. Which I'll recommend only if you like bloody movies. We saw it in 3D, which was fairly cool. I have never read the story (blame my 10th grade teacher) so I'm going to have to count on those that have for how accurate the movie was.
It's been a busy 4 days and we haven't even had Thanksgiving yet! My Grandmother, Aunt and Uncle are arriving tomorrow, and that will bring more family cheer! Today, Lewis, Mom and I are going to Yellow Springs to do a little eclectic shopping. Because I can shop at a mall at home! :) Though admittedly, not with my mom and sister.
We miss everyone in Houston! Lewis and I were thinking on the plane here, this is his first Thanksgiving with my family. We've spent the past 4 years either in Virginia with his family, or in Houston. Where it is decidedly warmer than it is here in Ohio!
We hope everyone is having a great week ... I'll report more later on!
