Happy Premier Week.

Finally. It's not that I don't love the summer shows, but sometimes it's just really nice to have good 'ole prime time television back. I enjoyed Pysch and The Closer, but now it's down to business.

Here is a list of the entire fall schedule. Here's what I'm interested in, and a few of my predictions for what goes and what stays.

Chuck - interested. It predict it will make it through first cuts. He seems quirky. And people are into quirky these days. But we'll see what I think after the pilot.

Bionic Woman - not sure. I'm going to watch the much hyped pilot, but I have a bad feeling that this play on Heroes popularity is going to fizzle and fade.

Journeyman - early cancel.

Private Practice - sorry pretty red head, I don't see spin-off success in your future.

Dirty Sexy Money - the guy from 6 feet under is on this. And people LOVE him. They won't be first cut. I can't say how it will do long hall ... but it looks promising.

Cavemen - early cancel.

Carpoolers - heard nothing on this. Early cancel.

Kid Nation - reality tv is cheap. Even if 5 people watch it they make money. plus, with all the scandal on this a lot more than 5 are probably tuning in.

Cane - heard nothing on this. What do you think that means? They are so confident they don't need to advertise? Apparently a Latin crime / mob drama. Sorry ... I don't like the premise. And the whole mob on broadcast television didn't do so well (see Black Donneley's, and that was GOOD show).

Pushing Daisies - not sure. He looks quirky too. People are into quirky (think Monk and Pysch). And I like the promo pictures. And Ghost Whisperer is popular and is still on the air, amazingly. So who knows ...

Samantha Who? - the title says it all. AOL likes it ... but hasn't Christina Applegate tried life after Al Bundy and failed?

There are 16 new dramas this year and 7 comedies. Of the 7 comedies the only one we are DVRing is Chuck. Kesley Grammer is coming back in "Back to You" and that could be good. I imagine it might hang out a while. But there's always so much and it gets widdled down to so little. So when 14 of the 16 dramas get cancelled ... what will they fill the schedule with?

To the returning shows ... I'm interested in Gray's of course (Derrick: You're the girl in the bar. Meredith: No, I'm the girl in the bar. -- sooooo funny.) and House definitely and Heroes and Extreme MakeOver Home Edition, My Name is Earl and the Office.

I'm just glad there will be something else to choose from. Happy Premier Week.
