Michael Vick not to see plea agreement
This is a very interesting story. A heartbreaking story. I've seen pictures of some of what happens to these dogs and it just makes you shiver and cuddle your puppy close! How can anyone hurt an animal?
The interesting part isn't the crime, per say, it's how Vick is going to handle it. Michael Vick is in real trouble now. The three others indicted for their part in Bad Newz dog fighting have sought plea agreements, which pretty much means they have agreed to testify against him.
The rumor among the sports buffs is Vick may never play football again. I can't really say I'm sorry.

In other news ... Don Imus settled his wrongful firing suit. I think that's good news. He never should have been fired. Argue with me I guess ... but the race issue behind this would have been better served if he had been made to eat his words and feel guilty forever rather than him being fired and making him a martyr. He settled his wrongful fire suit because he was wrongfully fired.
But now we have a Ruetgers student that is sueing Imus. I guess they want a piece of the $20M. But she's citing slander and libel. Eh ... can he really be charged with libel? Did he write it down? I guess maybe one of the networks (also named in the suit) wrote it somewhere. But it seems kind of silly. And the lawyer says the lawsuit is intended to restore the "good name" of his client. Blah. I don't even know his clients name. There was no damage done to his clients name. Ruetgers as a University has a better chance of winning that case as he mentioned Ruetgers, not any individuals name.
Anway ... just intemperent thoughts for the day.
