Is it a coincidence that the biggest bill of the year, possibly the decade (all votes on Iraq aside -- let's adjust this to biggest domestic bill of the decade) is being voted on the same day that Paris Hilton gets out of jail?

We have a celebrity obsessed culture. Everyone knows this. With Paris Hilton in the news, there is little chance for air time for anything else.

Including whatever it is the boring old Senate is doing. Like the cloture vote on the Immigration Bill.

Wouldn't it be oh so convenient, if it was planned for today because they knew it was Paris's 23 day in jail, and thus she'd be released?

I know ... my conspiracy theory hat is on ... but I definitely wouldn't put it past 'em.
