Question. Comment. Concerned?

Couple things. First ... Neal Boortz wrote this in explanation of what's going on over in Gaza ...

The Fatah (or Palestinian Liberation Organization) had been the ruling
party in Palestine for quite some time. It is a nationalist and socialist
party that wants nothing more than to establish the rightful Palestinian
state. Fatah seems willing to cooperate with and live peacefully with
Israel as their neighbor. Then in 2006, they lost control of their
government to Hamas, a Palestinian Islamic organization. Hamas, dedicated
to the destruction of Israel, is famous for its suicide bombing
techniques. Hamas also claimed responsibility for the train attacks in
London. It is completely and utterly against the existence [of] Israel and
wishes to establish an Islamic state. Hatred would not even begin to
describe how Hamas feels about Israel and the Western world.

For days, Hamas has been beheading Fatah soldiers on street corners in
Gaza. And now, President
Abbas has dismissed the government
and declared a state of emergency.
Now the government, with a Hamas majority, no longer exists.

But why does it even matter?? Hamas, closely aligned with
Iran and Syria, has absolutely no regard for the rule of law. It doesn't
matter whether their president decides to dissolve their parliamentary
power. Hamas has everything it thinks it needs: weapons and angry
Muslims. That's right. It's a little too late to declare a "state of
emergency". The emergency came when Islamic terrorist groups such as Hamas
were allowed to continuing existing, much less rule a nation.

Here's a quote from the peace-loving religion: "We are telling
our people that the past era has ended and will not return," said Islam
Shahawan, a Hamas military spokesman. "The era of justice and Islamic rule has
arrived." Now do you want to pay more attention to these stories?
This is ridiculous, folks. Anyone claiming that radical Islam is not a threat is
smoking something. This is a real threat.

And now, Hamas might have found American CIA
documents
in their Gaza take over. Consequences? We'll soon find
out.

I'm one of those people that think that instability in this region has disasterous effects on us all. Its why I was okay with going into Iraq. In my mind, we were already in Iraq. Military men and women were getting shot at across the DMZ every day by the Iraqi army. To my mind, the first Iraq war never really ended ... it just sort of subsided.

My post isn't on Iraq. I digress.

Palestine and Hamas are a big deal and a huge problem. Where is the UN?

Next ... The Amnesty Bill.

Definitions of Amnesty:
1 - a period during which offenders are exempt from punishment
2 - on: a warrant granting release from punishment for an offense
3 - formal act of liberating someone
3 - grant a pardon to (a group of people)

If they are not sending the people that came into this country illegally to jail or deporting them ... than this is Amnesty. They are exempting them from punishment. They are releasing them from punishment. They are granting a pardon to these people.

Oh yes, but they have to pay $5,000, these criminals. That's their punishment. Well you couldn't enforce the current punishment (deportation) what makes me believe you can enforce this new "unishment?"

And you know -- YOU KNOW -- that a majority of the people that cross the border from the south don't have $5,000. They just don't have it. What's the government going to do ... kick them out? Fat chance. It'll be waived. Just like my cable company waived my install fees. It'll be waived on the promise of paying taxes every year.

Trent Lott said this yesterday (or this morning? via Michelle and NYT) "Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

Yeah ... that's gonna win you support from the Right. Millions of people listen to Hannity and Rush about this issue (not me I'm at work when they are on) and Trent's going to hack them off? STUPID STUPID STUPID. These people need PR. What the heck are they thinking?

Hugh Hewitt ... another radio host though not as widely listened to as those mentioned above ... wrote a column about stupid Trent Lott. And now he's gonna have Trent on his show.

He's going to ROAST!

If you're agains the current immigration bill and want real debate and real procedure and not closed door antics of eltist Senators who think they answer to no one ... CALL SOMEONE. WRITE SOMEONE.

Namely your Senator. These are the ones that are on the fence. It's an old list ... clearly Lott isn't so much on the fence? Or is he? I don't know. He must not like it that his constituency is telling him what to do. :)
