I'm happy to see this. Because I don't think just money is going to serve justice. As mother and I were saying last week, Nifong better be prepared to lose the shirt off his back, because they will get it.

I just hope he's made some sort of provision for his family. They should not suffer because of his sins.

What I want to see now is some sort of sentence handed to the girl who's name escapes me. Mental health issues are one thing ... but if a mentally retarded person committed a murder, would we not sentence them to at least life in a facility? Something should be happening to her as well. Isn't there something about false charges?

What this woman did, with Nifong's help, was criminal. What she did to those young men and their families, was criminal.

And if there was any real justice ... the media would be charged with libel and slander. Let them pay some legal fees too.

The state of North Carolina isn't complaining though I bet. With an influx of journalists, lawyers, and others ... I bet their coffers are full.
