Common Sense Prevails or ... Yes Uncle Sam, there is justice.
Remember that dry cleaner story in Virigina? Some super rich guy brings in pants and what not to be dry cleaned and tailored. He comes back to pick them up, and he claims the pants they presented him are not the ones he dropped off. He wants the money to pay for the pants. They argue. He says they promised him satisfaction, as a sign on their wall says "Satisfaction Guarenteed."
He's a judge. He takes them to court. He sues for a really unreasonable number that accounts for his mental anguish and the cost of gas he's having to use to go to a different dry cleaner. It's an unreal number ... like double digit millions of dollars.
This is a mom and pop place. They are Asian, have little money ... you know the drill. They try and appease him by giving him a settlement. He declines. He's a crazy person.
Today, the supreme court rulled in favor of the dry cleaners and he ordered the crazy lawyer / judge guy to pay their legal fees. But the lawyer fees (tens of thousands of dollars) are still under review. Hopefully this crazy, irrational man has to pay those too.
Justice prevails. I hope the family can go back to their business and live in peace.
