Anorexia hits young children or ... SHOCK! 6 Year old is a picky eater!

That's my feeling ... you aren't anorexic at 6 ... you're a picky eater at 6. The kid in the story only wants cheese spread (on crackers, bread, etc). My sister only ate grilled cheese sandwhiches. That's it. For a long time, only grilled cheese. She later moved on to add spagetti to that list. She wouldn't eat sandwhiches, no hamburgers, no nothing (at least nothing Mom made)... only grilled cheese, spagetti and oh yeah! Chicken nuggets. And only chicken nuggets from McDonald's. If they brought out chicken fingers or anything that looked different than McDonald's chicken nuggets (which at the time weren't even made with real chicken -- EWWW) she wouldn't eat them. And we tried many restaurants who had chicken fingers. Megan wouldn't eat a bite.

I remember watching Mom and Dad try and make her eat vegetables. Haha. Megan was as willfull then as she is now. She'd sit there and cry rather than eat.

Me, as a young kid I threw everything up. Not because I was sick. Because I knew how, and I just did it. Mom took me to the doctor but the doctor told her I was just being a punk.

He was right. I grew out of it.

Imagine if they had treated me at 2-years-old for bulimea. HAHAHAHA. That makes me laugh, a lot.

Anywho -- kids are little punks who fight for control over their heavily controlled lives by being picky about things they feel like they can be. Food. Just my opinion, and I have no children and no Medical training, so take that for what it's worth. But my cousin is going to turn into a spagetti-o because that's all she eats. She loves them. Though if my sister is any indication (she did not turn into a grilled cheese ... she is a bit of a cheese head ... but not a grilled cheese!), my cousin will be fine. She will grow up and eat whatever the heck she feels like.

And not just spagetti-o's.

Doctor's and parents need to get a grip before they dish out thousands of dollars for nothing.
