Yuck
Michael Moore Faces U.S. Treasury Probe
So it looks like he's found a way to drum up more publicity for his new docu-drama.
And look at this language by the reporter:
"Sicko" promises to take the health-care industry to task the way Moore confronted America's passion for guns in "Bowling for Columbine" and skewered Bush over his handling of Sept. 11 in "Fahrenheit 9/11."
Yes, the reporter is extremely unjudgemental and is refusing to editorialize. NOT. Look at those words! How salacious. David Germain, with the AP shame on you.
Anyway, all this stupid justice department investigation will do is create even more publicity for a liar and a fraud. He's one of those people that started off with his heart in the right place, trying to help people, and now he's gotten too fond of his own voice and his own opinion that he can't bother to debate ideas rationally.
Anyone, anywhere, that says Cuba's health care system is better than ours does not know the facts about Cuba's health care system.
From the state Department:Cuba’s infant mortality rate of 32 per 1,000 live births in 1957 was the lowest in Latin America and the 13th lowest in the world, according to UN data. Cuba ranked ahead of France, Belgium, West Germany, Israel, Japan, Austria, Italy, and Spain, all of which would eventually pass Cuba in this indicator during the following decades[7].
And from US Newswire, regarding Cuba and their offer to send doctors to post Katrina New Orleans:
But upon examination of public records, the authors conclude that Castro’s apparent humanitarian overtures are actually thinly veiled attempts to further Cuba’s sphere of influence:
1. Cuban medical training requires dedication to communism;
2. Cuban doctors generate ten of millions of dollars for the Castro regime;
3. Cuban claims of “better” medical outcomes compared to the U.S. are false;
4. Cuban-trained doctors remain under Castro’s control;
5. Cuban medical training is poor in comparison to the U.S.
Only 25% of Cuban doctors can pass United States Medical exams.
Amazing.
Michael Moore is using 9/11 victims that are still suffering to promote a movie and give it a laciviousness that will bring blood hungry viewers to the theater. It's sad, ridiculous, and cruel. And it's his Constitutional right to do this. He can make anything he wants with his own money and I'm sure he's got some cracker-jack lawyer that will even say his trip to Cuba was legal.
But nothing about his trip is philanthropic. Nothing about his trip / movie has anything to do with helping people. It's about controversy, publicity, and his own self-love. He wants another Oscar, another 15 minutes infront of the camera. He's going to use anyone he can to do it.
If using 9/11 and fear are tactics used to keep people in line, that how is what Michael Moore is doing any different? He's using 9/11 to promote his movie and his own agenda. Tell me, how is that different?
