Reactionary
Today the Supreme Court upheld a law that President Bush signed into law nearly 4 years ago. He actually signed it while I was working in the Senate, and Sen. Bill Frist (the guy I worked for) was a big pusher of the bill. I'm wondering if he proposed it actually ... anyway.
Drudge has links to all the "nominees" reactions. All predictably on party lines. I wonder if they read the decision? I wonder if people who think these procedures should be legal know exactly what the procedure is. But my favorite statement is Hillary Clinton's.
Tell me, Madame Hillary, where exactly is it in the Constitution or in it's subsequent Amendments you find a woman's right to a late term abortion, or as they are called medically, intact dialation and extraction? (Which is exactly what it sounds like it is, and is the subject of the law President Bush signed.)
And I'm waiting ...
(For those interested, I suggest reading the decision. This is a good decision. This barbaric practice does not need to enjoy a legal status. And honestly, if you ever found a doctor that would do one ... I'd say find another doctor. Especially considering these procedures are done after 21 weeks and this little miracle.)

"It is precisely this erosion of our constitutional rights that I warned against when I opposed the nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito."
