Who's Who
I can not believe it's started already. But it has. Two years before an election year we're seeing campaigns in full swing. Might as well try (a little) to see who's who. All complete with websites, of course.
First, the Democrats:
Bill Richardson - Governor of New Mexico
Hillary Clinton - Junior Senator from New York (may it be noted that when I google her, 3 news stories pop up - that's the max for the google main search page)
Barack Obama - Junior Senator from Illinois (3 news stories on him)
Wesley Clark - Former General in the US Army - should be noted he has not technically started his "exploratory committee" aka campaign
Joe Biden - Senior Senator from Delaware (1 news story on him)
Christopher Dodd - Senior Senator from Connecticutt (I think ... I'm not sure ... could be Jr)
John Edwards - Former Senator from North Carolina (retired during the 04 election - 3 news stories for him)
Al Gore - Former Vice President and Dem Candidate in 2000. I'm pretty sure no exploratory has been started ... but the title of the home page is Al Gore 2008. Which is pretty inoccuous.
The Republicans:
Rudy Guiliani - Former Mayor of New York City. (1 news story - entitled "Think Hard About Rudy")
Newt Gingrich - Former Speaker of the House. I don't think this is an exploratory committee site. I don't think he's announced.
Mitt Romney - Governor of Massachusetts (3 news stories)
Tom Tancredo - Congressman from Colorado (had no idea who he was before this search)
Duncan Hunter - Congressman from California (no idea who he was either - should be noted that his is the only website that says "For President in 08" as opposed to exploratory committee)
John McCain - Senior Senator from Arizona
Sam Brownback - Senator from Kansas
Chuck Hagel - Senator from Nebraska (link is to a blogger website ... maybe not sanctioned by the Senator)
Mike Huckabee - Governor of Arkansas (this guy has domain name issues. someone has stolen mikehuckabee.com -- funny)
Tommy Thompson - Former Secretary of US Department for Health
George Pataki - Governor of New York
Jim Gilmore - Former Governor of Virginia
That's them. Read 'em and weep.
