Brian's 21st Birthday - Denver

Lewis and I took Brian to Denver this past weekend for his birthday! We went skiing at Breckenridge and hung out with our friends Craig and Alissa, who ofcourse live in Denver. Craig was in our wedding (usher) and was Lewis's best friend from high school in Houston.

The trip was too short (next time - 5 days) but we had a great time. The first day it was -22 at the mountain and we didn't ski but one run. I got our money back for our lift tickets. I think the ticket guy felt sorry for me, because those lift passes say in big bold letters NO REFUNDS. But it worked out in my favor. Saturday was a great day. 16 degrees at the base but windy, but compared to the -22, it was heavenly. We went up with our friend Scott (whom we met through Craig and Alissa) and made about 12 passes at the mountain and skiied some good blues. Brian went down some moguls on a black run and no one got hurt. By all accounts, a successful trip.

And Brian turned 21 at midnight on Friday night. Of course we took him out for his innagurual shot and drink. Saturday we went out again and Brian ordered more drinks and there was some fun with the waitress and whip cream. :)
