Welcome, 2007.
Paul and Jesse hosted a New Year's Eve party at their home and Lew and I made the treck out to the Fort Worth side of things for the occassion. Pictured above is something like 2 minutes before midnight, champagne at the ready. There are more pictures, if you're interested in our adventure.
Memorable in '06:
We moved from Boston to Dallas in the beginning of the year, got married in April, and got a great dog in May. We took a bunch of trips and weekend visits and camped and canoed. I got the first stamp in my passport on my honeymoon, my name changed, we saw the Lion King with my niece Victoria ... And we've been lucky enough to visit the nieces and nephews often and have a real relationship with them that's more than just holidays.
In 2007, I have a few "resolutions" or goals for myself. We're going to buy a home, we're going to travel a bit more ... And like the minister said on Sunday, I am going to try and be nice, and live with joy.
Welcome, 2007. And all the challenges and adventures and happiness you may bring.
Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5: 13-18
