The End of a Disgusting Story
I'd rather not talk about Mark Foley anymore. He's repugnant.
But I thought this piece in the Washington Times highlighted what I presumed about the story all along. That our leaders in Washington were hiding a predator for political reasons. The Reps hid it because they were afraid to bring him out as a homosexual pediphile and the Dems hid it until the best possible moment.
From what I can gather from the ethics report, everyone knew about this problem by 2005. But the Dems that had this information, or at least knew whispers of it, pushed it on the press before mid-term elections in the hopes that a scandal would help their chances at gaining seats in the election.
Regardless, I'm sick of this story. And the only good thing that's come of it is changes to the Page Board, which will now have two parents of page's among it's members. That's the only good thing to come out of this.
And another interesting tidbit from the otherside of the ocean, there's an investigation underway in the Ukraine into the strange deaths of 2 newborn babies back in 2002. The graves were excavated and they were found to be in strange pieces, with parts of them missing. Reportedly, the babies were born alive, but then were taken from their mothers who I assume were later told the babies died.
They believe these new born babies were used to harvest stem cells.

Regardless of how one feels about the innate morality [of] stem cell research, it should be clear that the fervor over embryonic stem cell research has created unrealistic expectations regarding its potential, leading to a mass market in stem cells that devalue human life.
