Bloggers Strike Again!

Blogging is like the new David and the MSM is Goliath. And slowly but surely, David is taking it to Goliath!

I don't want them to disappear, I don't want them to stop reporting. What I want is accurate and as fair and balanced as possible - News! Just the facts people. Facts. And by facts I mean the facts not one person's side of the story or one groups side of the story but the honest, hard core, mean, vile facts. No sugar and no spice.

Yesterday EU Referendum had picture proof that the photographers at AP, AFP and Reuters (among others) were being had and that many of the photos taken appear staged. The bodies of the children of Qana appeared to be being used as props, and the photographers either knew and didn't care, or they were guilty of not paying attention to their own snapshots.

And now - all because of us little bloggers - the MSM has responded!

And even the Washington Post ran a story about it today. Except, they don't really agree with the bloggers, in fact, they (continually) underestimate the bloggers. And like all MSM they think bloggers are stupid, pajama wearing unprofessional types that are right wing extremists out to push a cause.

Some are, no question. But some of us just want the balanced truth. A fair shake. And if you don't think the bloggers get the score right, then you don't remember Memo Gate and the Dan Rather issue, which was brought down by bloggers. Or the issue that the New York Times had in January when they published a staged photograph that bloggers debunked. The Times had to issue a retraction.

All the bloggers want is the truth. And not even that really, just due dilligence. You're reporting the news to the world. That has some responsibility with it. Look up the facts. If you say its a US Missile, please make sure the US Military has used that missile within the last decade. Its easy to find out, bloggers do it with just the internet every day. It's called Google. Use it.

But the Post seems to think that EUR is into a conspiracy theory and that Israel wasn't the cause of that building's collapse.

I don't go that far. I don't have to. I do think that Israel's bomb caused that building to fall in some fashion or other. But I believe that Hezbollah left those people there to die knowing that Israel was going to attack so they could win the war of the minds.

And I do believe that those children's bodies were used as props to promote Hezbollah's cause. And all that I'm asking is that the main stream media not support that cause or Israel's for that matter. Take pictures, yes, but don't set yourself up to take pictures that don't present the facts. And don't force feed me propaganda as the only information that's out there. Bloggers know differently.

On a final note. Israel and Hezbollah are engaged in a war. And there are no rules to war, especially when dealing with terrorist organizations bent on annihilation. Israel's bomb killed children at Qana, and that is a tragedy. Hezbollah specifically fired rockets from that location using their people as a human shield; that is also a tragedy. But unfortunately, there are no rules of engagement. And Hezbollah's use of those children as props is just more warfare. Israel must deal with the consequences of their actions the same as Hezbollah must. And until both sides start to value the lives of their people over the value of their land, the fighting will not stop.

My idea - and John Stewart had the same idea last night (I don't know how that makes me feel) - is to turn Jeruselem into an International State Park. Sort of like Yellow Stone or the Grand Canyon. Make it a monument. No one can live there. Draw a great big circle around it and make it available to everyone. Divide up the land left to Israel between the Palestinians and the Jews. Create a DMZ between the two patrolled by UN sanctioned security.

Of course that would work only if the two sides would agree to stop killing each other. One can only hope.
