An Appreciative Fan and City Thanks You

Well it's officially over. And I could go on and on about the fairness of it and how I really think the officials are sleeping with Dwayne Wade. But truly, if it had to be somebody, I'm glad it was Shaq. If we weren't in the game I would have probably been cheering for the Heat to win it. Especially if we had lost to the Suns, even though I love Steve Nash and his Mavericks roots. I cheer for Shaq because I hate Kobe. I know, I know. So do a lot of people. But I think he and his bad attitude should get taken out of the Lakers and thrown to junior high ball. He's just such a diva. Yuck. Who would want to play with a guy like that?

I just want to point out a few things:

1 - That Wade threw an arm at Dirk and still the foul was called on Dirk.

2 - That even the announcers quit even trying to justify the calls that were being made.

3 - Fouls were called a couple of times on guys that weren't even near the player that went to the line. Ridiculous.

4 - Wade is not that good. He's a great player, he is. He's probably better than most of the starters individually on the Mavs. But he is not better than the entire Mavs squad. And the Heat is not the better basketball team. Wade is not that good, its just every time he gets the ball and gets a foul called no matter what. Mostly, I think, because the officials assume that if they were the opposing team they would foul him. Unfortunately, half the time they got it wrong. 5 - I got nothing but love for you Dallas. I'll stick with you through this and I'll cheer you on next year. You didn't drive the ball like I thought you should and you mistakenly thought you could win this game from the field. But you couldn't. Harris - I love that you were not afraid of Shaq. You (and Daniels) are my all-stars and MVPs. You rocked. Dirk - you are the hero of the metroplex. We wouldn't have gone this far if it weren't for you. Do not feel too bad for too long. Everyone thought we'd fall against the Spurs and you guys took it to them and then again to the Suns when people thought we were just a joke. The Mav's rock, and are arguably the best team in the league (team - because Miami only had one player - we have a whole team of all stars) and are definitely the second best team in the league. You are great players, and I appreciate everything you tried to do this year for your team, your city, and your state.

6 - Mark Cuban and Avery Johnson. You are amazing people. I admire so much of what you do and love your big hearts and generous spirits. Whatever they say about you in the national media - your city respects and appreciates your hard work and dedication bringing us this far.
