McSleezy

I have decided, after two full seasons, that Dr. Shepard is a scum bag. And, I have also decided after two full seasons, that Meredith is a crazy person and an idiot. And I really, really, really do not want to deal with those two being together again. Its the same story line from last season.

Are we or aren't we? Should we or shouldn't we? I'm married, I want to stay married, but I love you.

BLAH! Just more of the same two bad people making bad decisions and then asking me to feel uncomfortable with them while they try and sort it out. I already watched you make this mistake already. It's like the writers wanted to have it both ways, "First lets say he chooses Addison, and then at the end of the season, we'll make like that was a mistake and he chooses Meredith."

Addison should castrate him. And then kick the crap out of Meredith. And then arrange for a transfer for both her and McSleezy. Idiots. And I disliked how she treated the cheif. I thought it was funny, but really, she's doing the same thing that he did. I know she's not mad at him or anything, but she is sort of I think, because he didn't choose the mistress either, he choose his wife.

Idiots.

But the part of the show that truly, truly upset me was Christina. I want to like her, I do, and she had one redeeming moment at the end where she took his hand. But she better step up, or I'm going to start calling for Burke to kick her to the curb. Stupid Christina. I was yelling at the TV screen when he was struggling to move his hand. But I did feel for her when she was talking to the cheif. I did. But she better step up.

I love the mean guy who's name I can't remember who is in love with Izzy. He is the only character on the show with any morals and any ... character. Him and George. I love George, and his new girlfriend. I got very mad at my radio station today because they were making fun of her because of her size. Jerks. Everyone's not a size 2 you know! And she is so much better for him than any of those other idiots.

And Izzy. Oh Izzy. I have despised her story line since the whole "fall in love with the patient thing." Christina nailed it on the head. "You aren't in love you've never seen him out of this hospital." Yup. And I will not be sorry if she really quits. Nope. She made me mad too. I felt bad, real bad, when Denny died. I did. That's when I cried. Because I can not imagine how it must have felt. But the only person in that room that was worth anything was the guy who's name I can't remember right now. I liked him and Izzy. I did not like Izzy and Denny. Not good.

But ... the award for stupidest thing that happened last night goes to Shepard and Meredith. Stupid. Chris O'Donnell is the far better choice for obvious reasons. Anyways. I don't know how I will feel going three / four months without seeing how this is all going to work out. But know the following facts:

1. If Gray and Shepard stay together I will quit watching. And what will they do with poor Addison? I love Addison - she is a good person. Meredith is not. She continually makes bad decisions and for her to be rewarded for that is ridiculous.

2. Christina better decide to be a good person with Burke or I will quit watching. They are my very favorite couple on the show and Burke is awesome.

3. George is awesome. That's all.

4. Izzy should quit. I'd be happy if she quit, except that the mean guy really loves her. So she can stay if she wakes up to the fact that mean guy loves her. I really like the mean guy -- what is his name? I am furious with Izzy. I think the guy with the two kids should have gotten the heart. Denny was ready to die.

So that's all. I just had to get that out. Gray's Anatomy is addictive. But I promise on everything that is holy I will watch something else if Meredith and Shepard do not start acting like good people. People who do bad things consistently should not be rewarded with happiness. Just one girls opinion. There's enough people out there who are trying to do good things and make mistakes but still try to do good things that deserve to be happy over those two. Reference: ADDISON. You know, Shepard's WIFE.

I like the new layout. Remember the show is about Meredith and all the stupid choices she makes. If she made sensible choices there would be no show. Check out the comic strip 9 Chickweed Lane - go back to the May 15th strip for some intelligent comment on life vs entertainment.

Really?

Gosh, the reason I really like Grey's is because it is so true to life. Sometimes otherwise good people do stupid things, sometimes the people that deserve to live happy lives die, and most of the time there's a ton of grey area between right and wrong.

For example, the Mer/Der/Addison sage. Was it a little sleazy that they had sex? Yup. But is Addison necessarily 100% a good character? Not so much--she's made her mistakes too.

And I really loved the scene where George apoligized to Meredith. He needed to. She shouldn't have slept with him, but he also took advantage of her.

And Denny and Izzie. Was stealing the heart selfish? Yup. Do people really do crazy, selfish things when people they love are in danger? I think so. I also loved the scene were Alex (the mean guy) scooped Izzie up off of Denny. He really came across as the good guy in this episode, but he's been bad in the past too (cheating on Izzie with the nurse, generally being an asshat).

I guess what I'm getting to--in this VERY LONG, rambling comment :)--is that some of the things you said you don't like about the show are some of my very favorite parts. The characters are all basically good people, but they're also well developed enough to let you see that even good people do bad/stupid/crazy things. The show doesn't have the knight in shining armour "hero" vs. the completely evil villan--all the characters are much more, well, grey.
