Memorization Not A Cap Police Job Function

Here's a number I want Cynthia McKinney and her lawyer Myart to study: 435.

That's the area code for parts of Utah. It's an interstate in Missouri that's under construction. I don't know what channel that is but I'm sure its the Soup Network or something. That's the number of people that graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1999.

It's also the number of Congressmen in the US House of Representatives.

Now, Alamo High had security guards, do we think that those same security guards recognized every, single solitary senior's face and knew them enough to put a name with the face?

Here's the quotes from the press conference Ms. McKinney and her lawyers held. Danny Glover was there too, because Hollywood wouldn't dare miss a sound byte.

"It is the job of the Capitol Police to protect members of Congress. As a
part of that job, they are to know who those members are," he said. "Whenever
you put a police officer out on the street, he is supposed to know his
job."

Members of Congress are allowed to bypass the metal detectors and security
checkpoint. They are supposed to wear a lapel pin that identifies them as
lawmakers. McKinney acknowledges she wasn't wearing one when she was stopped,
but concurred with Myart that police should know who she is.

"The pin is not the issue," the six-time congresswoman said. "The issue is
face recognition."

"Face recognition?" There are thousands, thousands of people that walk through those metal detectors every day. Lobbyists, lawyers, and depending on the metal detectors, tourists, interns, staffers, pages, and many many more. Are you telling me that the Cap Police not only have to be on the look out for dangerous people and devices, but they also have to know the congressmen by name?? Many of the interns and staffers don't know every single congressmen in Washington.

McKinney hit the security guard because she's a pompous arrogant aristocrat who thinks being a Congresswoman is the same as being American Royalty. Word to the uneducated, security is security is security. And if there's a metal detector, maybe next time just go through it. Instead of wacking some more guy over the head because you're an idiot. Another thing, this isn't about race. This is about a security guard not giving you your due notice. Your celebrity worship. And you reacted without thought. Now you pay for it. DEAL.
