On the Supreme Court taking on Late Term Abortion:
"Doctors who perform the procedure contend that it is the safest method of abortion when the mother's health is threatened by heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer. "
I wonder how many of those mothers whos pregnancy threatens their health with "heart disease, high blood pressure, or cancer" were warned about these dangers before they got pregnant. Just a question. Late term abortion is a tragedy and should be banned. If there are so many women who need them to save their lives, where are their stories? I want to hear a late term abortion success story. The whole thing gives me the shivers.
On the Port Sale to UAE:
"The Bush administration got support Monday from former President Carter, a Democrat and frequent critic of the administration.
"My presumption is, and my belief is, that the president and his secretary of state and the Defense Department and others have adequately cleared the Dubai government organization to manage these ports," Carter told CNN. "I don't think there's any particular threat to our security.""
Dear White House,
If Jimmy Carter says he doesn't think there's a threat, I suggest you look into it. That right there is enough of a red flag to stop the sale, in my mind.
Love,
A Concerned Citizen who doesnt want to make it any easier for terrorists to get into our country. Because really, if you were a terrorist, and you heard that these ports were being sold to this Arab country, wouldn't you be looking into how to get a job with those shipping people? We must remember that terrorists are still people with jobs and families. They just go blow themselves up rather than have to think about retirement and pensions.
Anyway - the world is a crazy, crazy place. And I am the leader of the crazies, welcome to my kingdom. And under my rule, everyone gets a fluffy dog that never bites and chases frisbees. And everyone lives happily ever after with their sweetheart. And all of the children wear rollerblades and flip-flops and don't have piercings and don't worry about grown-up things and all the little girls want to be Sasha Cohen. (Go Sasha!) And all the little boys ride bikes and play in the dirt and break things and try to put them back together. And all children are loved and given many, many hugs. And mommies and daddies can play with their kids and those that want work find it and all grocery stores are 24 hours. Because many times, you need ice cream at 2 am. And most especially, there is no terrorism or extremism of any kind. And everyone in the USA loves their country, and cheers for the Olympiads.
And no squirrels have rabies, cars never break, and everyone is nice and everyone has a friend. Oh, and no one makes bloody movies with a lot of cussing. Every movie is kid friendly. And all the adults like the kid movies best. Because here in the kingdom of crazie, your leader is truly a 12 year old at heart.
I pray for all of those being tested today. May the outcomes of these tests exceed their expectations. I pray that God bless us all.
