I Love The Houston ASTROS!
There is a poll on LoneStarTimes that is fill in the blank, it starts "I feel like..." and has two choices: A) Crap or B) Complete and Total Crap.
I choose B.
It's not that I'm unhappy, or even tired, or even upset. I'm just disappointed. I love them, I really do. And to see them not reach the end of the race they've fought so hard to be in is hard on me. It just would have been nice to see them win a game in the World Series. Just one even. But I know that I wouldn't have been happy with just one. I wanted them all! All seven to go to the Astros. But that's not how the game was played.
The White Sox, no matter what the talking heads are saying, is not the better team. They had better calls. Several times in many instances the umpire calls went there way. I can count one instance where it went the Astros way and I'm not even sure it was against the Sox I think it was when we played the Cards. Not sure. The White Sox are not a team of destiny and they aren't better players. THey don't have better pitching. This series was so evenly matched that until our closer came in last night both pitchers had held the batters inside. The Sox won by a combined 6 runs. That's not a blow out, that's a just sliding by. It's not a sweep, its a sneak. And had any one thing changed, it wouldn't have been that way.
But I agree with the story HERE, fond memories will prevail for Houston. We had a good run. We fought
hard. What a game against the Braves! I have never been so excited in my life! 18 innings! Burke is definitely the hero of this post-season. And Oswalt. And what about beating the Cards! That was a dream come true to come back after the Pujols home run. There are a million great memories I have of this year, and I will remember them forever.
It was a great season. Only 2 teams -- 2 TEAMS!-- make it the World Series. And this year Houston was one of them! The first Texas World Series! That's worth a lot. So congratulations Houston for a great series! And congratulations to all the players. Your fans love and support you for all you have and will accomplish. THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT!!
