Intemperate Thoughts

Celebraties treat weddings like a date. Where most people say "Let's go see a movie," celebraties say let's get married. Then when the "date" goes bad, rather than just not calling the person again, they have to hire lawyers and get divorces. I say, make it illegal for celebrarties to get married, and take all the money that they would spend on weddings and divorces and put it towards the American School System. It's only fair.

And I know I listen to the entertainment report every day, but anyone that buys People (sorry Megan), okay not buys, suscribes to People (you're off the hook Megan) should be immediately enrolled in a self-help class.

And please Lord, please, spare us from Rita. Already a category 4 and still so far away. Please don't take any more. After Katrina we're all fearful of what this will bring. I don't want Texas among the list of hurricane casualties.

Traffic should be a reasonable reason to go into the office at 10. Plan to be in at 10 and leave at 6. Getting into the rat race with the millions of other drivers (many in this area are tree hugging liberals that won't let us build refineries but are driving SUVs. Hypocrites.) Anyway -- I hate traffic. Put me in a terrible mood this morning.

And when people ask you how the wedding planning is going, this should be a real question. If you don't want the bride to tell you all about the photography nightmares or the flower concerns, don't ask. Stick to the "How are you," which we all know gets a "fine" in response. I'm sick to death of people asking me how the wedding planning is going and then getting mad at me or looking at me like I'm crazy when I say its starting to worry me or I have a lot to do, or what have you.

Again, please Lord, protect the country from Rita. Please don't let us have to deal with a second tragedy. And please take care of our family in Houston.

Just my thoughts for the day ...
