AHHHHHH!!!
Michael Moore doesn't write anything on his stupid website for 5 months -- 5 months -- and now, on September 2nd, 5 days after Hurricane Katrina (who knows, maybe 5 is his lucky number) he posts a letter to the President thats so sarcastic it should be labeled. Careful kids, don't read it cause you might get confused. Old Mickey isn't really being nice to George, he's just being a jerk.
AHHHH! Five months of silence. Through all of the Sheehan and all of the crap he hasn't said two words. And now after a natural disaster he's up and posting, ready to bash Bush. And you're going to tell me the left hasn't mobilized to blame this on the administration? You're dreaming. Next thing it'll be price gouging and Bush did this to let the gas people make more money off gas.
Oh wait -- they are already saying that!
Truth about gas? Well -- BUILD MORE REFINERIES. I'm not going to say it again. Okay maybe I will. Build more refineries (a story from August 15th--August 15th!). You want more gas for less? Build more. Don't want to build a refinery because of the enviornmental implications? Deal with the high cost of gas. Or buy a hybrid instead of your SUV. I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANY MORE ABOUT GAS. Eight of the Eastern seaboards major suppliers of gas where in the New Orleans area. They have no power. Last I heard the machinery itself was basically fine, save some pipe line issues and others, but with the power grid severely damaged they can't operate. No power -- no running refinery -- no gas for Atlanta. Sorry folks. They'll truck it in from other places but that takes time and money. Your gas will be more until they get the power grid and pipe lines fixed. The first 5 will be ready within a week, they say. The remaining could be as long as 3 weeks. This is the price we pay because there hasn't been a refinery built in this country in 30 years. Thank you EPA.
Scream about Global Warming, scream about how Bush knew it was coming (I heard this once before), and scream about how unfair it is that FEMA hasn't responded quickly enough. None of this is going to make a difference. Help your fellow man. Donate. Time, money, food. Donate! There is nothing the federal government could have done to make a city that is underwater stay dry during a hurricane of this magnetitude. Nothing. Those levees, it has been known for years, would not withstand a big hit. Katrina was a big hit. Now could you argue that maybe they should have been better fortified? I don't know. Let me research tonight and I'll let you know.
But it is obvious to me now that the crazy people in this country that are driven by hate mongering and whatever are out to blame this on George Bush. Michael Moore -- there is a special place for your somewhere. May God bless you and grant you peace from your anger, and may you donate all the profits you make every year to the cause. Or at least a part of it. I pray for you ... because otherwise my soul is lost the same as yours.
